James Vasilas

James Vasilas has been licensed to practice in Texas for over 20 years. He is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. He previously obtained a Master of Arts from Indiana University. He attended undergraduate school at the University of Missouri-Colombia.

With over 20 years of experience, both at the state and federal level, he has handled thousands of criminal cases during his career. He is a skilled negotiator and has also had experience in civil forfeiture cases in state and federal court. James is known throughout the Dallas area as a thorough and dedicated attorney, often accepting cases that his colleagues thought were unwinnable and getting good results for the client.

James is fluent in Spanish, having lived in Latin America for many years. He spent part of his secondary education in Mexico, served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nicaragua in the 70’s and has a second home in Colombia, where much of his family resides.  When he is not in the courtroom he is spending time with his family, cooking, watching movies, or relaxing on his favorite island, Maui.
