Elizabeth Kinsey

Attorney

Elizabeth, better known as Libby, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Central Florida in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in journalism before attending the University of Florida School of Law.

While in law school, she interned at the public defender's office in Gainesville, Florida.

First licensed in Florida in 2007, she spent her early years as a prosecutor in Orlando, where she handled a large number of cases, including plea bargaining, motion practice, and felony and misdemeanor trials.

In 2011, she moved to Texas, and after three years in civil practice, she returned to criminal law as a defense attorney.

Libby has been the lead attorney in more than 100 criminal jury trials and countless bench trials.

She is currently responsible for a full list of criminal cases and zealously represents clients in state and federal cases.

She feels her experience as a prosecutor helps her understand how assistant district attorneys assess their cases in preparation for trial, making her an effective negotiator and strong trial attorney.

Libby also speaks Spanish.
